Like I wrote in My Story, I was unable to get a job at an agency in the beginning.
That's why I acted as a Freelance Developer, and created a website posing as an agency.
My logic being that if I could build a website on my own that was on par with an agency's, they'd probably be more willing to hire me.
If not, the experience I'd gain would be invaluable to my growth as a dev.
I was very fortunate to get the opportunity to work on some projects that helped me learn to do not just front end development, but also CMS integration and basic PHP.
Some companies I designed and developed bespoke WordPress themes for included:
- A Non-profit
- A Beauty Salon
- A Martial Arts Clubs
- A Counsellor
